Jakarta, xweb.biz.idMinister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro has officially been replaced in a cabinet reshuffle after President Prabowo Subianto appointed Brian Yuliarto as his successor.

In his statement, Satryo revealed that he had resigned from the position he had held since 2024.

“I just submitted my resignation letter to the Ministry of State Secretariat (Setneg),” Satryo stated when met at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) office in Jakarta on Wednesday (February 19, 2025).

Reason for Satryo’s Resignation

Satryo explained that over the past four months, his efforts had not aligned with the government’s expectations, leading to his cabinet reshuffle.

“Perhaps what I have done does not meet the government’s expectations. I feel it is better to resign than to be dismissed,” he admitted.

The resignation letter was prepared on Tuesday night (February 18, 2025) and was later submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat for forwarding to President Prabowo Subianto.

“I have worked sincerely, without any ulterior motives. If I am not a good fit, then it is better for me to step down,” he added.

Officially Replaced by Brian Yuliarto

President Prabowo Subianto immediately appointed Brian Yuliarto as the new Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology as part of this cabinet reshuffle. However, Satryo did not leave any special message for his successor.

“Every leader has their own vision and mission,” he concluded.
