Fariz RM Pays Driver to Buy Narcotics, Police Reveal

Jakarta, xweb.biz.id – The South Jakarta Police have uncovered details of a narcotics case involving famous musician Fariz RM. The Deputy Head of the Narcotics Unit at South Jakarta Police, Kompol Telly Areska Putra, revealed that Fariz RM paid his personal driver, identified as ADK, a sum of IDR 100,000 to purchase illegal drugs.

“Each time the suspect ADK bought narcotics, he received a payment of IDR 100,000 to IDR 200,000 from FRM,” said Kompol Telly Areska Putra during a press conference at the South Jakarta Police Station on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Kompol Telly further clarified that the narcotics bought by ADK were not intended for resale.

“According to the confession of suspect FRM, the narcotics were only for personal use,” he added.

Fariz RM allegedly instructed his driver, ADK (45), to purchase narcotics, including methamphetamine and marijuana, for personal consumption.

“ADK, a 45-year-old private driver, was instructed by FRM to buy methamphetamine and marijuana, which are the items of evidence in this case,” said Kompol Telly.
