Hutama Karya Commits to Supporting Police Investigation in Djatiroto Sugar Factory Corruption Case

Jakarta, xweb.biz.id – PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has reiterated its commitment to cooperate with the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) in investigating the alleged corruption case surrounding the Integrated Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project for the development and modernization of the Djatiroto Sugar Factory in Lumajang, owned by PTPN XI. The case relates to the 2016 project.

“Hutama Karya will not obstruct the investigation process and is committed to supporting Bareskrim Polri in uncovering the truth in this case. We will be cooperative and transparent in providing any necessary information,” stated EVP of Corporate Secretary at Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, in Jakarta on Thursday.

Support for BUMN Clean-Up and Corporate Governance

Hutama Karya also expressed support for the clean-up program initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and reaffirmed its commitment to good corporate governance practices in all aspects of its business operations.

Regarding the recent raid carried out by Bareskrim Polri’s Anti-Corruption Task Force (Kortas Tipikor) at the HK Tower on Thursday, February 20, related to the alleged corruption case in the Djatiroto Sugar Factory development project, Hutama Karya emphasized that the search was part of the investigation process.

As reported, the Polri’s Anti-Corruption Task Force conducted the search at the HK Tower building in Cawang, East Jakarta, as part of the ongoing investigation into the corruption case involving the EPC project of the Djatiroto Sugar Factory (PG) under PTPN XI.

Brigadier General Arief Adiharsa, Deputy Chief of Kortas Tipikor, confirmed the operation. “Yes, the search is ongoing, related to the Djatiroto Sugar Factory and Assembagoes project. The focus is on Djatiroto,” he said.

The search, which began at 10:00 AM, aims to gather evidence related to the case. However, Brigadier General Arief has not disclosed the specific items recovered during the raid.

PT Hutama Karya continues to demonstrate transparency and cooperation with authorities in addressing the alleged corruption within the Djatiroto Sugar Factory project.
